Get to know us more here Position Summary The incumbent's primary role is to support the District's Corporate Physical Security Program under the direction of the Corporate Physical Security Manager. This includes the support of Genetec Physical Access Control System (PACS), Genetec Video Management System (VMS), Electronic Intercom System (EIS) along with other security software/hardware products that integrate with Genetec. The incumbent will help optimize the PACS, VMS, EIS and other integrated security software/hardware so that it can be efficiently administrated and monitored by a centralized Security Operations Center (SOC). The incumbent will help maintain Enterprise Technology (ET) systems and servers affecting the PAC's, VMS, and EIS Systems (firewalls, virtual servers, anti-virus tools, intrusion detection, anti-spam, forensics, vulnerability scanning, reporting, and security assessments) in multiple networks. This will require that the incumbent manage Active Directory and group policy on a private network. The incumbent will support applicable portions of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation's (NERC) Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Compliance Program, as directed by the Corporate Physical Security Manager. This will require the individual to become familiar with the District's NERC CIP Program and work closely with key players from NPPD's Transmission Engineering, Telecommunications, ET Security, and Transmission Maintenance & Support teams for implementation of the program. Education, Training and Experience Technical Analyst: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (OR) Associate degree and a minimum of three (3) years technical IT experience, including specific experience as listed below (OR) High school diploma/GED and a minimum of five (5) years technical IT experience, including specific experience as listed below. Systems Analyst: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and a minimum of four (4) years technical IT experience as listed below (OR) Associate degree and a minimum of six (6) years technical IT experience including specific experience as listed below (OR) a high school diploma/GED and a minimum of eight (8) years technical IT experience including specific experience as listed below. Senior Systems Analyst: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and a minimum of eight (8) years technical IT experience as listed below (OR) Associate degree and a minimum of ten (10) years technical IT experience including specific experience as listed below (OR) a high school diploma/GED and a minimum of twelve (12) years technical IT experience including specific experience as listed below. Ideal Experience and Technical Skills Ideal candidates for the role Physical Security Technical/Systems/Senior Systems Analyst will have relevant experience with some or all of the following: • Administering physical security standards, to include alarms, CCTV, card access and intercoms across the corporate enterprise. • Administering software and hardware upgrades of Physical security systems, and assess business needs to create or modify system queries and reports. • Executing access control operations, badge production, visitor management, SOPs and policy compliance. • Conducting vulnerability assessments and monitors systems, networks, and databases to respond to access control and outages. • Evaluating existing physical Security controls, technologies, policies, and procedures across company’s locations and recommend improvements. • Managing existing access control, video management, and intercom systems across the corporate enterprise. • Developing/maintaining a fully integrated/unified access control, video, and intercom Genetec platform to be utilized by a Security Operations Center. • Providing technical support to our 24/7 Physical Security Operations Center. • Maintaining NERC-CIP and FERC compliance processes. • Managing Active Directory, SQL, Lansweeper, Nagios and group policy on a private domain • Administering and troubleshooting AXIS, Genetec, HID, Altronix, and cellular modem software and devices. Licenses and/or Certifications Security Clearance: Incumbent may be required to satisfy any existing and future District security clearance or background check requirements for access to key NPPD locations and/or supporting sensitive business applications. Obtain and maintain intermediate to advanced technical certification aligned with key business system platform(s) used at the District (for example, Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP), Microsoft certifications, and security related best practices) as applicable. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Technical Analyst: Analyze, design, develop, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and provide direction and support for complex systems, applications and databases in support of the District's computing environment. Provide technical architecture recommendations and apply best practices in system design, development, and testing. Collaborate with/advise/coach other ET/Corporate Security and business unit analysts to ensure understanding of business and technical work processes, tools, and best practices. Evaluate, create, document, and test complex system-related interfaces and integration. Maintains efficient and effective management of vendor contract service relationships pertaining to technical services. Provide 24/7 system support, carry a mobile communications device, and perform duties from remote locations such as home and during business travel. Systems Analyst: In addition to being proficient in all duties of the Technical Analyst, the Systems Analyst will also be responsible for the following duties: Lead special task groups, trouble-shooting efforts, and integration and/or improvement project teams. Lead the development and implementation of training and communications plans/materials. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Continued) Senior Systems Analyst: In addition to being proficient in all duties of the Technical and Systems Analyst, the Senior Systems Analyst will also be responsible for the following duties: Proven understanding of key NPPD business unit activities and successful application of ET/Corporate Security technical solution design, development, and responsive customer support and service. Work closely with ET/Corporate Security management to oversee and lead resolution of complex technical challenges and new business system initiatives. Accountable for other duties as assigned.
