Position: Senior Systems Engineer at MSP Our Engineers at Dynamic Solutions Group act as an integral role to our success and are at the true core of our service offerings. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will provide onsite and remote support to clients, tackle a wide variety of technical and security challenges, and work with cutting-edge technologies to deliver exceptional solutions. Responsibilities: • Taking ownership of customer incidents by providing onsite, telephone, and email support. • Troubleshooting and resolving various technical issues. • Advanced understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems. • Configuring and troubleshooting issues related to the following technologies (and much more!): Windows Server, Active Directory, Firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, VMWare, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and other leading cloud solutions. • Advanced technical support and the ability to troubleshoot at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, Layer 2/3 switching, routers, firewalls, and security. • Collaborating with a great team to identify solutions to customer support requests. • Learning a ton, being faced with new challenges every day, and gaining exposure to all of the most cutting-edge technologies. • Local travel to client sites to provide scheduled IT systems and network maintenance, address outstanding concerns, and aid with project implementations and consulting when appropriate • Interact with clients and communicate with leadership team. • Provide some on-call/after-hours work when necessary. Key Technologies • Firewalls (Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti, Fortinet, Palo Alto, SonicWall, etc.) • Microsoft 365 Security, Azure AD, and AWS IAM • Microsoft SharePoint and Teams. • Windows Server and Active Directory (GPO, OU structure, access control) • SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection tools • DNS, DHCP, and VPN configuration • VMWare virtualization and backup solutions • Additional technologies: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, ConnectWise PSA Our Ideal Candidate Has • Several years of related experience, ideally working with external clients in the Managed Services or IT Services industry. • Knowledge of remote access solutions including VPN and Terminal Services. • Strong technical aptitude and hands-on experience with the key technologies listed above. • Stellar communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences over the phone, in writing, or in person. • A true passion and drive for creating an unmatched customer service experience. • The ability to deliver excellence independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • A strong desire to learn and focus on helping clients succeed with IT. • Flexibility to work after-hours for security monitoring or incident response and availability to work onsite at customer locations. • Industry certifications such as Network+, Security+, MTA, MCSA, or equivalent.
