Title: Cloud Architect V Location: Tulsa, OK Hybrid work schedule: 4 days in-office and 1 day remote weekly Up to 25% travel Description: The IT Architect V is responsible for designing the structure of specific IT systems and supervising programs to ensure the architecture is properly implemented. This role will apply technical skills and work with internal/external business partners to create a vision and roadmap. The IT Architect V - Cloud Architect will be instrumental in bringing to bear sophisticated Infrastructure-as-Code techniques to architect, deploy, maintain, operate, and optimize our cloud infrastructure in line with the organization's strategic needs. They will work closely with our Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) Architects, Enterprise Architects, Application Owners, and other Cloud Engineers to resolve and deliver these needs. Responsibilities/Expectations: Decomposes systems into smaller components and viewpoints, along with the enforced rules that enable consistent design across the enterprise Defines the application tiers, frameworks, components types and interfaces; specifies and provides ownership of reusable application components or reusable application code and supports the Enterprise Application Integration Defines the visual roadmap and performs design reviews Monitors emerging standards, sets standards and technologies to be used by the enterprise Crafts the architecture vision, conceptualizes and experiments with alternative architectural approaches; builds models, components and interface specification documents; validates the architecture against requirements and assumptions Translates business requirements into repeatable design strategies, systems qualities and patterns Solves problems with developers, addresses ongoing revisions/improvements of the architecture Analyzes competitors, products, strategies and product generation processes Surveys external emerging developments, new technologies, standards and methodologies Mentors, teaches, consults with other team members Other duties as assigned Education/Years of Experience: Required: Bachelor's degree in IT related field; a minimum ten (10) years' developing software systems and IT experience Preferred: Minimum of twelve (12) years' experience and prior oil/gas industry experience Other Requirements: Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority Needs proficient knowledge of architecture principles design Needs knowledge of application/interface design Working knowledge of all areas of IT, especially data center functions (servers, DB, networks, security) Experience creating and maintaining large enterprise architectures Proficient knowledge of scripting and how scripts work Demonstrates outstanding organizational/communication skills and safety as the utmost priority Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications Mastery in Azure Cloud Infrastructure: Demonstrates experience deploying new services and migrating on-prem services to Azure; Possesses proficient knowledge of Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework, Enterprise Scale, and Well-Architected Framework. Has deep expertise in Azure AD, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Monitor, Azure Key Vault, Azure Storage, Azure Backup, and more Proficiency in VSCode or similar, Azure DevOps or GitHub, and Agile methodology in Azure DevOps Expertise in at least three of Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, or ARM, and experience designing, deploying, and iterating sophisticated cloud infrastructure via DevOps pipelines Ability to use Microsoft Office products, particularly Visio and PowerPoint, to build, modify, and present sophisticated technical architectural diagrams Preferred: Demonstrates Azure-specific certification (DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Cybersecurity Architect Expert) Preferred: Demonstrates extensive proficiency in two or more programming languages: Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, BASH, PHP, or Java Preferred: Experience implementing other Cloud Service Providers (CSPs): OCI, AWS, or GCP Preferred: Demonstrates Generic Infrastructure Experience/ITSM: Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows/Linux Server Administration, VMWare/vSphere, Cisco networking, InfoBlox, Palo Alto, F5, CyberArk, ServiceNow, Qualys Preferred: Familiarity with relevant tools and applications: Jenkins or similar, Kubernetes, Docker, HashiCorp tools, ServiceNow, and a deep understanding of APIs (HTTP, SOAP, REST
