To be a successful SQL Report Write you must become able to do the following always: • The SQL Report Writer works in conjunction with multiple teams to develop and support organization-wide reporting. This position is responsible for end-to-end report development which may include interaction with end users to gather requirements. The SQL Report Writer is required to understand report objectives, designing, and developing reports using the available tools delivering reports to end users. • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of staff and outside vendors. • Ability to listen to end users’ needs and provide innovative and proficient reporting solutions. • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in priorities. • Assist with development of business and functional requirements for reports. • Design, develop, test and implement reports as necessary to fulfill business requirements. • Serve as a subject matter expert for reporting across the organization and assist users with reporting and analysis activities and tools, including ad hoc reporting. • Support user training, testing, documentation, and roll-out of reports and end-user reporting tools. • Maintain knowledge of business processes and understand cross-functional business relationships and their use of information. • Construct reusable reports based on common reporting requests using available tools. • Initiate and maintain cooperative relationships with co-workers, managers and supervisors, and internal and external stakeholders. • Contribute and develop insights into leveraging collected data to improve operational performance and customer experience working with the Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement department. • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of data interoperability between internal and external data systems. • Document sources of reports and steps necessary to generate complex reports. • Utilize business intelligence tools to design, construct, test, and deploy self-service reports and visualizations and dashboards. How you will spend your time in this job: • 65% - Report Creation (query, stored procedure, and views development) • 10% - Report requirements and use case data gathering • 10% - SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Report Generation and Publishing and subscription management • 10% - End User training on report generation • 5% - Communication of project status and timelines To qualify for this job, you need to have: • Graduation from an accredited four-year College, University or Institute with major course work in Information Systems/Technology, or commensurate experience related to the position. • Minimum of 4 years of experience preferred in SQL and Data Visualization tools (Power BI preferred). • Experience in reporting needs in a healthcare/behavioral health environment is preferred. • Java Script experience preferred • Netsmart MyEvolv experience preferred • Requires Microsoft SQL Services Reporting Services experience • Report management and optimization experience • Strong Knowledge of SQL including creating queries, views, tables and stored procedures for reporting purposes • Experience translating business questions/requirements into meaningful reports.
