POSITION SUMMARY The Power Platform and Reporting Specialist interprets functionality needs from end users, translates requirements into technical specifications, and builds solutions to meet business needs. Solutions include automations such as reports, subscriptions, and automatic data entry including calculated fields; mass updates to records with provided or derived data; automated alerts/notifications/messages based upon changes to data including raw and calculated data and building data storage and input tools using a variety of programs including SharePoint, D365, Canvas Apps, and Excel. Additionally, the role provides end to end business support including requirements definition, documenting technical specs, outsourcing to 3rd party vendors as needed, developing new functionality, conducting UAT, and providing end user training. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Meets as needed with stakeholders to gain understanding of business needs. In Dynamics 365, design and implement model-driven apps, canvas apps, custom entities, forms, views, dashboards, and business rules to meet business requirements. • Reviews, analyzes and writes workflows and Power Automate flows using existing D365 logic. Replace and/or enhance current processes for 1Staff. Use connectors outside systems, and data sources to build advanced automation. Use of error handling and tracking. • Develops and modifies compliance items in 1Staff for company-wide, client-specific, and /or jurisdiction-specific needs for legislative compliance. Build templates for employee onboarding process using electronic signature solution and configure packages to integrate with CRM. • Meets as needed with stakeholders to gain understanding of reporting needs. Writes and deploy reports using Power BI and T-SQL using Microsoft SQL Service Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio. Publishes reports to Report Manager when appropriate. • Create and manage complex surveys using Microsoft Customer Voice, including configuring branching logic, and integrating responses into Dynamics 365 for reporting and workflow automation. • Use Power Fx formulas extensively in Power Apps and Power Automate to implement complex logic and enhance app functionality and automation efficiency. • Other requirements gathering - Collaborates with internal team members, internal IT team, and external engineers to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system customizations, and devise data governance strategies. • Proposing solutions - Defines, designs, develops and implements technology solutions that are functional and satisfy internal and external stakeholders while optimizing the efficiency of the organization and ensuring these solutions are suitable for IES workflow and production. • Provides ad-hoc end-user systems training, troubleshooting, documentation for internal and external systems • Develop and execute comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts, including the configuration and preparation of test data, ensuring alignment with business requirements and facilitating successful handover to end-user departments. • Responsible for testing, auditing, modifying and troubleshooting IES systems and apply existing functionality to new systems. Supports system software upgrades and tests system changes. • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational programs through in-house training and outside expert training; review professional publications and resources related to SQL, Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft PowerApps • Understand current and future business goals and ongoing IT issues to ensure business success • Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, vendors and others in a courteous and professional manner. • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in IT, business analysis, or a related field. • Minimum 5+ years’ experience working with ERP systems such as Dynamic 365 and developing automation solutions. • Minimum 5+ years working within the EOR and PEO industries. • Knowledge of programming language s, such as T-SQL, Visual Basic, JSON, Power Fx, and DAX. • Knowledge of data visualization software like Power BI or Microsoft Visual Studio. • Proficient in database query and update management experience using industry standard tools such as SQL and D365 searching. • Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical terms. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to review, analyze, and enhance current processes and systems. • Experience with business process analysis and solution design for the contingent staffing industry. Hiring Range: $68,000 to $125,000 based on experience.
