Job Summary The Senior Technical Project Manager at Togetherwork is responsible for leading and delivering large, complex, external client-facing projects, primarily focused on software implementations. This role demands a strong technical aptitude alongside excellent communication and project management skills. The Senior Technical Project Manager will collaborate across business and technical teams, drive solutions for client-facing issues, and ensure projects meet functional, financial, and quality objectives. While internal projects may arise occasionally, the primary focus will be managing external implementations for our member associations and partners. A successful candidate will emulate the strengths of our best technical project managers: bringing deep understanding of Association Management Software (AMS) or similar platforms, ensuring technical credibility, driving implementation excellence, and communicating effectively with clients and internal stakeholders alike. Responsibilities Serve as the primary project lead for external client-facing software implementation projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery aligned with client expectations. Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, including project planning, resource scheduling, risk management, delivery execution, change control, and closure. Actively engage with clients to understand business processes, guide them through implementation, and suggest optimizations based on industry best practices. Lead internal project teams, allocating appropriate resources and tracking task assignments to meet project goals. Ensure effective communication across technical teams, client stakeholders, and executive sponsors. Monitor and report project status, risks, issues, and financials regularly to internal leadership and client partners. Facilitate service delivery using internal company systems, following standard operating procedures and project management best practices. Support process improvements and internal knowledge sharing initiatives as needed. Serve as an escalation point for client-facing project issues requiring technical insight and resolution. Drive a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences at every touchpoint. Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. 5–8 years of project management experience, specifically in external client-facing technical projects. Strong technical background and familiarity with Microsoft technologies, including Windows and Office Suite. Proficiency in Microsoft Project and other project management tools. Outstanding ability to lead technical teams and interface confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on customer service and client success. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate and resolve complex technical and operational project issues. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated team player who can positively influence others and drive results collaboratively. Preferred/Highly Desirable: PMP,CAPM, or similar Project Management Certification. Prior experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Microsoft CRM/Dynamics 365). Prior experience with Association Management Systems (AMS) or similar membership-based platforms. Salary Range Disclosure The base range represents the low and high end of the Togetherwork salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Togetherwork's total compensation package for employees.
