Claims Business Data Analyst job at AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc.. East Rutherford, NJ. AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. (“AEGIS”) has an immediate opening for a Claims Business Data Analyst . The Claims Business Data Analyst is a resource within the Claims Division, conducting business and data analysis. This includes supporting requests for data, reports, and system functionality. The Analyst will ensure that the business data is accurately documented and aligns with workflow processing and strategic business goals. The Analyst will interact with all Claims end-users, as well as business subject matter experts in Underwriting, Accounting, Actuarial, Loss Control, and Information Technology. Job Requirements: • Minimum 3 years of experience in data analytics and reporting; experience in strategic thinking with relationship management and participation in multi-disciplinary, high-performance work teams is a plus • Undergraduate degree: a degree in insurance, computer science, data analytics, etc., is a plus • Experience working in property and casualty insurance; working with Claims and Underwriting policy and reporting applications is a plus • Experience with MS Office Suite, Microsoft Access, and SharePoint, and proficient in advanced Excel functions • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively while working on multiple projects • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment, and make necessary decisions to complete assigned tasks • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with IT and various business divisions; an in-depth understanding of business data architecture and their interactions • Demonstrated ability to analyze data from multiple sources Candidate Attributes: • Collaborative Communications and Behavior: Develops and maintains effective working relationships as a team member and across divisions; readily collaborates and shares information, seeks and provides constructive feedback, and supports a respectful workplace. • Initiative and Accountability: Proactively addresses opportunities to enhance AEGIS’ people, processes, products, and services, takes ownership for one’s responsibilities by acting with integrity and in the best interest of the organization and stakeholders. • Quality-Focused: Demonstrates a solution-focus, displays thoroughness and accuracy through quality deliverables, and demonstrates persistence and perseverance in achieving concrete and tangible outcomes. • Service-Oriented: Conveys a genuine desire and ability to anticipate and meet customer needs and creates and nurtures mutually beneficial relationships within AEGIS and with AEGIS Members and brokers Essential Job Functions: Data Analysis • Identify and classify key takeaways, trends, and conclusions from claims data analyses, and summarize them for the Claims Management team • Collaborate with IT to implement system solutions to leverage the data that is manually captured and maintained • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for system application improvements Data Management and Reporting • Gather, evaluate, and report on the Company’s internal data collected from source business applications (Claims data, Policy data, Loss Control data, etc.) and identify ways to better manage and utilize the information • Complete research on all new claims data and ensure reportability • Research and maintain existing complex customer hierarchies and their associated claims • Complete other ad hoc claims data requests Project/Program Management and Support • Provide support in completing the Claims Administration group’s responsibilities • Participate in UAT testing and assist in training if necessary • All other duties as assigned EOE AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. participates in E-Verify. We expect to pay a starting salary between $79,000 and $83,000. An applicant’s placement within this range is based on their individual qualifications and professional experience.
