Job Description A client of Insight Global is looking for a System Admin to sit fully onsite in West Mifflin, PA or Schenectady, NY supporting a large government contract. This role involves daily IT system monitoring, operational support, and administration of Group Policy. The candidate will apply appropriate security settings based on government and vendor requirements, configure and manage system BIOS/UEFI, and specify and test computer hardware, including PCs, laptops, tablets, servers, and peripherals. Additionally, the role includes creating, deploying, and maintaining computer images for physical computers and virtual machine master images, working with the user community to resolve IT-related issues, and assisting with the management and configuration of enterprise applications such as Exchange, Skype, SharePoint, Tenable, and O365. The candidate will also support applications on personal computers, review hardware and software for IT-supported networks, support virtual server and desktop infrastructure, and manage zero and thin clients in Citrix and VMware environments. Other responsibilities include supporting client/server infrastructure solutions, using security applications on IT-managed networks, creating software packages, troubleshooting local desktop issues, performing asset management activities, and deploying endpoint devices to the organization. Compensation: $30/hr. to $40/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
