Creating, supporting, and enhancing scheduled and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and data sets pertaining to Procurement activity: Procurement KPIs, Spend, Supplier Performance, Procurement Operations, etc. Developing standardized self-service reporting, analytics, & automated data workflows to deliver insight at scale and enable effective decision-making Using standard analytics tools, primarily SQL and Power BI, to extract and consolidate data directly from numerous systems including purchase orders, requisitions, shopping carts, contracts, purchase pricing, invoices, vendors, and materials. Translating business problems into technical solutions by consulting with business stakeholders to scope and define project deliverables and milestones Providing end-user training, enhancement testing, data governance, and operational support across the Procurement reporting portfolio as a Procurement data subject matter expert. Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution Proficient years of Procurement or Supply Chain process experience in one of the following or similar: Contracting, Category Management, Buying, AP Post Audit, Internal Audit, Planning, Vendor/Material Data Management, etc. Proficient years of experience modeling or shaping data and presenting output to end consumers using SQL, Excel, Python, VBA, or similar tools in a private, public, government, or military environment Proficient years of full development lifecycle experience in Power BI, SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence, Snowflake, SAP HANA, SQL Server, or other enterprise business intelligence tools and data warehouses in a private, public, government, or military environment Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Advanced degree in business, analytics, data modeling, or statistics Four (4) years of Procurement or Supply Chain process experience in one of the following or similar: Contracting, Category Management, Buying, AP Post Audit, Internal Audit, Planning, Vendor/Material Data Management, etc. Four (4) years of experience modeling or shaping data and presenting output to end consumers using SQL, Excel, Python, VBA, or similar tools in a private, public, government, or military environment Two (2) years of full development lifecycle experience in Power BI, SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence, Snowflake, SAP HANA, SQL Server, or other enterprise business intelligence tools and data warehouses in a private, public, government, or military environment Track record of intellectual curiosity and process improvement/automation, with an ability to influence and persuade cross functional team through data Proven problem-solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills Familiarity with Python sufficient for running and performing basic maintenance of existing scripts for data extraction and reporting Proficiency in designing and building data models, DAX-based measures, and visualizations to enable optimal use of Microsoft Power BI Hybrid near Maplewood, MN in office 2-3 days a week Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international Relocation Assistance: not authorized H1B status). 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life - both physically and financially.
