Duties The Communications Team at Wilder is part of the Shared Services/Advancement division and leads the organization’s brand, communications, and marketing efforts. We manage both external and internal communications, including storytelling, media relations, digital content, social media, email marketing, design, and brand strategy. Working in close partnership with staff across Wilder, we aim to elevate the voices of the communities we serve and ensure that all communications are clear, consistent, equity-centered, and aligned with our mission. Overview of Position: We’re looking for a creative and versatile Content Creation Intern to join Wilder’s Communications Team. In this hands-on role, you’ll help produce engaging video and visual content for platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn and other digital channels—bringing Wilder’s mission and impact to life through digital storytelling. You'll conceptualize, create, and edit both short-form video and static content that resonates with our audiences and strengthens Wilder’s brand presence. The ideal candidate has a passion for creating purpose-driven content, with experience crafting compelling social media posts that inform, inspire, and connect. This internship is a great opportunity to build your skills while helping us share meaningful stories in creative and engaging ways. As a Content Creator Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of communications and marketing activities that support Wilder’s mission. You’ll learn how a communications team operates within a larger organization, contribute to brand strategy, develop content and materials, and support campaigns that make an impact. Responsibilities: Create multimedia content, such as but not limited to: short-form videos, graphics, blogs, etc. Contribute to multimedia content efforts, supporting photo shoots, video shoots, and the development of print collateral. Review and catalog Wilder’s high-performing archived content, and develop creative strategies to refresh and relaunch across platforms. Contribute to social media campaigns and program communication initiatives. Assist with brand implementation across the organization. Assist the Communications team with a variety of administrative tasks and project coordination, as needed. Learning Objectives: Gain practical experience in developing and executing communication strategies. Develop an understanding of brand management, marketing, and communications principles and their application in a real-world setting. Learn to collaborate effectively with team members cross-departmentally. Learn how to apply community-driven journalism and reporting. Enhance writing and editing skills across various communication formats Improve skills in planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment. Increase practical skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc. Days of the week: FLEXIBLE- (note: preferably Tue-Th) Hours per week: 15-20 hours Job Qualifications Experience creating engaging content for digital platforms, including short-form video, graphics, and written posts Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Basic video editing and graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar tools) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Creativity, attention to detail, and a strong visual sense Strong collaboration skills and ability to contribute effectively in a team environment Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Multimedia Arts or a related field GPA of 3.0 or higher About Wilder When you work at Wilder, you will join a diverse community of passionate individuals who are committed to the Wilder mission and dedicated to serving whole families.
