The City of Greensboro Legal Department is seeking a passionate MWBE Specialist to help implement and support the City's Minority Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) Program Plan. This role is essential in ensuring fair and equitable opportunities for MWBEs in local, state, and federal contracting. The full salary range is $50,020.00 - $89,510.00 annually, with an expected hiring range of $52,201 to $83,279. About the Role As an MWBE Specialist, you will: Assist in implementing the MWBE Program Plan in alignment with City Council policy. Conduct contract-specific compliance reviews and serve on evaluation review committees. Assess MWBE capacity and develop remedial assistance plans to support vendors. Perform data collection, analysis, and reporting related to supplier diversity. Oversee monthly audits of subcontractor payments and contract compliance. Provide daily support to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring strong community engagement. Work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple deadlines and competing priorities. Oversee Construction Education and Training Programs and support MWBE growth in construction industries. This role requires occasional travel within the Greensboro (13-County) region. Qualifications What You Bring Minimum Qualifications: You must meet one of the following education and experience requirements: Bachelor's Degree AND 1 or more years of relevant experience ( Associate Degree AND 5 or more years of relevant experience High School Diploma/GED AND 7 or more years of relevant experience Relevant experience includes: Supplier diversity programs Competitive bidding Construction contracting Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Valid Driver's License Preferred Qualifications: MWBE Program experience Experience reading and understanding construction plans & cost estimation Contract and procurement operations in government Knowledge of Local, State, and Federal procurement laws Certified Local Government Purchasing Officer (CLGPO) Certified Economic Inclusion Officer (or must obtain within four years of employment) Ready to Lead.
