Target Openings 1 Job Description Summary The Lead Dir, Business Resiliency Analytics uses data and analytics to drive resiliency status, results and leverage internal and external information to identify and implement quantifiable and actionable opportunities for Travelers resiliency program. The role is responsible for reporting, monitoring, analyzing data and trends, and communicating emerging and actionable insights to various audiences and partnering to ensure vulnerabilities against critical disruptions are addressed timely. The Lead Dir, Resiliency Analytics may act as a manager in a direct or indirect capacity, and as such, is responsible for providing coaching and leadership to employees or partners. This position may be based 100% remotely or in one of our offices. #LI-Remote Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities Uses analytics to explain resiliency status or results against resiliency strategies and identify actionable opportunities. Uses data visualization and storytelling skills to effectively communicate insights and influence decision/outcomes to Sr. leadership. Leverages resiliency industry best practices, data and technology trends to identify and implement business opportunities. Proactively coordinates with cross functional teams on varying program initiatives. Influences resiliency strategy to leadership to prioritizes investments based on translating insights to business value. Lead and facilitates collaboration with involved data and technology partners to ensure correct data is consistent for resiliency critical analysis. Manipulates complex raw data and leads the ultimate design required to meet business requests. Responsible for resiliency analytics support across multiple initiatives. Interprets complex data to recognize patterns and analyze trends. Directs the completion of reasonability and validation tests. Oversees the design and ensures the execution Proofs of Concept to inform business strategies. Monitors performance indicators and implements possible improvements. Communicates the financial impact of recommendations. Interprets model results and identifies when to apply them. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 5 years analytics experience required. One year of technical team project leadership or people management required. Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge Bachelor's degree in mathematics, finance, computer science, statistics, MIS or equivalent experience preferred. Typically has 6 or more years of experience in Descriptive Analytics or related field. Thorough knowledge of the main features of the collection of data and the relationship of data elements to each other required. Thorough knowledge of Descriptive Analytic practices and processes required. 5 years working successfully with Microsoft office products and software/programming applications specific to business supported. 1 year of Risk Management experience, such as Audit, Security, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Incident Management preferred. Working knowledge of risk management tools such as Archer preferred. Thorough knowledge of data visualization tools such as Clickview/ Clicksense, infusing cloud based data management such as Data Lake preferred. General knowledge of insurance products/concepts preferred. One or more years of technical team project leadership or people management experience preferred.
