Suvi Global Services is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect with Azure expertise to lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and mission-aligned cloud infrastructure. This role is critical to the modernization and transformation of the government’s IT systems into hybrid and cloud-native environments. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure and a strong understanding of government security and compliance requirements. Working closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams, the Cloud Architect will ensure that cloud solutions support operational performance, data protection, and resiliency. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! • *Responsibilities** + Design, plan, and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-based solutions primarily in Microsoft Azure to support the government’s mission-critical workloads. + Serve as the technical authority on cloud strategy, guiding the modernization and migration of legacy systems into hybrid and cloud-native environments. + Define cloud architecture standards and best practices for compute, storage, networking, identity, and security services within the Azure ecosystem. + Support the deployment and integration of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS services in compliance with government cybersecurity and operational policies. + Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application teams to ensure cloud solutions are secure, compliant, and meet performance and availability requirements. + Develop and maintain cloud design documentation, implementation plans, and system diagrams to support architecture governance and change control processes. + Evaluate and recommend emerging cloud technologies and tools to enhance the performance, automation, and cost-effectiveness of IT services. + Lead the development of cloud migration strategies, including rehosting, refactoring, and rearchitecting efforts for existing applications and infrastructure. + Ensure cloud environments support high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies, aligned with mission resilience goals. + Provide Tier 3-level escalation support and root cause analysis for cloud infrastructure incidents and performance issues. + Maintain strong working knowledge of government cloud security requirements and support implementation of STIGs, FedRAMP, and Zero Trust architecture principles. + Advise program leadership on technical feasibility, risk mitigation, and cost estimates for cloud initiatives and project proposals. • *Qualifications** + Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility. + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. + Minimum 7 years of experience leading cloud architecture and migration projects, including significant experience with Microsoft Azure. + Proficiency in Azure-native services. • *Desired qualifications:** + Master's Degree. + Active Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (or equivalent). + Deep understanding of infrastructure-as-code (e.g., ARM, Bicep, Terraform), cloud networking, identity management (AAD), and security controls. • *Job ID** 2025-17926 • *Work Type** On-Site • *Company Description** • *Work Where it Matters** Suvi, an Akima company, is not just another federal mission services contractor.
