Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency. Under general direction, incumbents perform advanced journey level duties and may train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of subordinate staff and/or serve as a project leader as assigned. Incumbents may function as a unit leader to include directing the activities of a branch IT support unit, overseeing projects of limited scope, and coordinating activities with other work groups. This is a supervisory level for Computer Operations and the journey level for Information Security positions. The Department of Transportation is seeking to fill an IT Professional 3 located in Carson City. This position will be responsible for the design, development, installation, monitoring, maintenance, and enhancement of the Microsoft 365 applications. The IT Professional 3 will be responsible for configuring, deploying, and maintaining various Microsoft 365 applications and tools by ensuring seamless system functionality, and providing technical support. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance workflows, drive user adoption, and ensure the effective use of Microsoft 365 solutions across the organization.
