SQL Software Engineer (1 opening) Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid - 4 days onsite required) About the Role We are seeking a SQL Software Engineer to join our software development team in building high-quality SQL Server-based solutions. This role involves T-SQL development, SSIS integration, and performance tuning, using modern development tools and AI-assisted environments. Ideal candidates bring strong SQL fundamentals, a willingness to learn, and familiarity with DevOps practices. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and optimize stored procedures, functions, views, and ETL packages (SSIS). • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, QA, and DevOps to understand business needs and deliver scalable data workflows. • Participate in code reviews, stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies. • Use VS Code, SSMS, and Visual Studio for SQL development and debugging. • Work within Git/GitLab for version control and participate in merge/pull request workflows. • Contribute to CI/CD processes for SQL code promotion and deployment. • Support performance tuning, incident resolution, and documentation efforts. • Utilize AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate SQL script generation, documentation, and testing. Qualifications Preferred Technical Proficiency (not all required): SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, Stored Procedures, User-Defined Functions, Linked Servers, Synonyms, ASP.NET, C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, Python, Web API development, Entity Framework, Git/GitLab, VS Code, Visual Studio, Postman, CI/CD pipelines, unit testing frameworks (xUnit, pytest), and familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud environments. • 3–5 years of hands-on experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, and stored procedures. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required. • Strong communication and analytical skills. Senior SQL Software Engineer (2 openings) Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid - 4 days onsite required) About the Role We are looking for a Senior SQL Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of SQL-based solutions powering our critical applications and workflows. This role goes beyond writing SQL code - it's about defining standards, mentoring peers, owning architecture, and enabling productivity through AI, CI/CD, and automation. Responsibilities • Architect, develop, and optimize SQL Server solutions including stored procedures, ETL packages (SSIS), and schema designs. • Lead performance tuning, root cause analysis, and system-level SQL improvements. • Collaborate across business, QA, and infrastructure teams to define requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions. • Drive the adoption of CI/CD pipelines for SQL deployments using GitLab or similar tools. • Use VS Code, SSMS, and Visual Studio for scalable development and debugging. • Enforce Git workflows (e.g., feature branching, pull requests) and conduct peer code reviews. • Serve as a mentor to junior engineers and promote documentation best practices. • Champion the use of AI-assisted tooling (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) to drive efficiency, automation, and quality in development.
