Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator with a strong focus on Microsoft cloud technologies to oversee the Corporate Technology team. This position requires deep expertise in Microsoft cloud technologies, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID, to drive cloud-first strategies. In addition, the candidate should have a solid understanding of automation tools and techniques to streamline administrative tasks and improve efficiency. This role is responsible for coordinating the efforts of the team members, ensuring seamless communication, and optimizing their performance to meet the organization's technological needs. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the efficiency and security of our systems, as well as providing technical guidance and support to team members when necessary. Key Responsibilities: 1. System Administration: a. Administer and secure Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), including Conditional Access, PIM, SSO integration, and Identity Governance. b. Manage device compliance, Windows Autopilot deployment, and app delivery via Intune. c. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and support open-shift/open stack environments. d. Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement necessary optimizations. e. Oversee M365 environments, including mailbox management, email routing, and security configurations. f. Assist with the development and maintenance of ServiceNow with a focus on security, patching and implementing best practice workflows. (JavaScript) g. Oversee, secure, and maintain on-premises infrastructure. h. Support and troubleshoot corporate networking infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security across on-prem and cloud environments. 2. Automation: a. Develop and maintain advanced PowerShell modules to automate lifecycle management in Azure and M365, integrating with Graph API and REST endpoints. b. Leverage tools like Azure Bicep, ARM Templates, or Terraform for repeatable cloud deployments. c. Identify opportunities for automation within the environment and drive initiatives to streamline processes and workflows. 3. Security and Compliance: a. Implement security best practices and policies to protect internal systems from threats (SIEM, EDR, Purview etc.). b. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, such as HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS, NIST and SOC2 as applicable to the organization's operations. c. Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks. d. Deploy and manage sensitivity labels and data loss prevention (DLP) policies. 4. Documentation and Training: a. Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures. b. Provide training and guidance to junior team members on Microsoft technologies and automation techniques. c. Collaborate with other IT teams to share knowledge and best practices. Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). · Minimum of 6 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on Microsoft Cloud technologies. · Strong proficiency in managing Windows Server, Entra, Exchange, and Microsoft 365 environments. · Strong hands-on experience with Entra ID, including SSO, identity protection, and B2B collaboration. · Highly experienced with automation tools and scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Python, or Ansible. · Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls for Microsoft-based systems. · Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. · Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls, with hands-on experience configuring Cisco devices or holding relevant Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP).
