About the Company We are seeking a skilled Power BI Administrator to oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of Power BI environments. The ideal candidate will manage access, security, performance, and deployment of Power BI reports, datasets, and workspaces while ensuring best practices for governance and compliance are followed. About the Role Power BI Administrator Location: Atlanta, GA-Onsite Client—CTS/Albertson Rate -50/h on w2 and 53/h on 1099 Responsibilities • Administer and maintain the Power BI Service (Power BI online), Gateways, and Power BI Report Server (if applicable). • Manage user access, roles, permissions, and workspace configurations in Power BI. • Monitor system performance, usage metrics, and audit logs to ensure optimal service health and compliance. • Configure and manage data gateways for on-premises data refreshes. • Support report authors and developers by provisioning and managing workspace environments and troubleshooting issues. • Develop and maintain Power BI governance policies including naming conventions, data security, retention, and sharing practices. • Collaborate with IT and security teams to enforce data protection and access policies. • Handle Power BI tenant settings, including enabling/disabling features and managing integrations with Microsoft 365 and Azure services. • Schedule and monitor data refreshes, performance, and job status. • Keep up to date with new Power BI features and recommend enhancements or process improvements. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Power BI Administrator or in a similar BI platform admin role. • Strong understanding of Power BI architecture, administration, and security. • Experience with Power BI Service, Power BI Desktop, and Power BI Report Server. • Familiarity with DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL. • Proficient in using Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Azure Active Directory, and data gateways. • Experience with auditing, monitoring, and logging tools for Power BI. • Knowledge of governance and compliance frameworks. Required Skills • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or similar certification. • Experience working in environments with CI/CD pipelines for Power BI deployments. • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation. • Familiarity with REST APIs for Power BI. • Experience with other Microsoft Power Platform tools (PowerApps, Power Automate) is a plus.
