Senior Manager, Corporate Analytics #25-6082 Honolulu, Hawaii, United States Employment Type Full-time Exempt or Non-Exempt Exempt Job Summary • *Hybrid Work Environment - Must reside in Hawaii** Pay Range: $86,500 - $179,500 Note: Individuals typically begin between the minimum to middle of the pay range Manage staff and activities related to the delivery of corporate-level or department specific business reports, analyses and other data-driven business intelligence solutions. This position will support the cross-corporate initiative to migrate the current BI Data Warehouse (BIDW) to the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), support the development and execution of enhancements on the platform, migration and building of key data concepts on the platform, and enhanced dashboards with the migration. This will require collaboration with all major areas within HMSA including but not limited to Finance, Underwriting, Medical Management and AMS. In addition, this position will support the development and adoption of Derived Data Elements (DDEs) and other data concepts for enhanced corporate reporting and support the maintenance of the platform. Additionally, performs and direct the data collection, analysis, and presentation of HMSA's clinical, medical cost, and other information for reporting. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree and seven years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and related work experience. • Two years of supervisory/management experience. • Knowledge and experience in development of an integrated data platform such as the Enterprise Data Platform with the associated data assets and the process workflows required for a successful transition to the new environment. • Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as SQL, MicroStrategy, SAS, R, etc. • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook. • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Duties and Responsibilities • BIDW Migration and EDP Utilization and Maintenance: Actively participate and be responsible for the development of the migration plan which includes (1) identification of current inventory and enhancements of capabilities, reporting and usage of the warehouse by key areas of the organization, (2) determining dependencies and setting priorities for the build out, and (3) required resource and timeline. Also responsible for overseeing the implementation of the migration plan. This effort to be done in collaboration with all major areas of the organization including but not limited to Finance, Underwriting, Membership, Data Governance, IT, BCIS/Provider, Medical Management. • EDP operating policies and procedures across the units above. • Responsible to develop and build data concepts on the EDP which need to be migrated from the BIDW working with IT, Data Governance, Finance, Business data subject matter experts and stewards, Membership, etc. Utilize concepts in corporate analytics and reporting and support the maintenance of the Enterprise Data Platform. • Project Management and Delivery: • Leads and organizes projects for maintaining and enhancing existing business intelligence system functions and data sources. • Manages coordination with business users for project requirements, impacts and testing. • Manages the timely delivery of corporate-level reports and analyses. • Manages the timely delivery of business solutions to enable other departments to access data for departmental needs. • Develops strong collaborative working relationships with internal business users and stakeholders, as well as external partners, providers and employer groups. • Cross-Functional Integration and Communication. Work with various project teams, HMSA Committees to communicate, and distribute information. Communicate analysis, assessments, recommendations and completed work product through professional written and oral reports and presentations. • Leads and supports BIDW Migration including extracts related to Provider, Sponsor and Corporate reporting. • Data and Analytics Reporting • Directs and performs data mining, statistical and business analysis for research and reporting to identify potential cost savings opportunities, payment disparities and statistical network variances to be used to develop HMSA's provider network and member access strategies, strategies in collaboration with other Provider Services units and HMSA Departments. • Oversees the creation of regular and ad hoc reports needed. • Ensures sound business processes for accurate and timely delivery of project deliverables and reporting requirements. • Manages data requests and issues directed to the team. Responsible for guiding, training, and giving advice to analysts who fulfill requests submitted via Analytics Service Now. • Resource & Relationship Management: • Manages staff to meet corporate, departmental and project objectives. • Conducts evaluations and provides staff with guidance and leadership. • Coordinates with other teams within the department to manage and participate on projects jointly. • Develops strong collaborative working relationships with internal business users and stakeholders, as well as external partners, providers, and employer groups. • Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned or directed. #LI-Hybrid
