POSITION OVERVIEW: We are looking for a Senior Microsoft Developer to lead development, modernization, and maintenance of enterprise web applications for KDE. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in .NET technologies, experience with .NET 6/7/8, and strong backend development skills. While formal Team Lead experience is not mandatory, candidates with a track record of mentoring junior developers and leading debugging efforts will be given preference. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop & maintain web applications using .NET 6/7/8, C#, and ASP.NET Core/MVC. • Modernize & upgrade legacy applications, including migration from .NET 4.8 to .NET 6/7/8. • Design & optimize RESTful APIs and web services using ASP.NET Web API. • Lead debugging efforts and provide mentorship to junior developers. • Collaborate with business users to gather and implement requirements. • Manage web servers and infrastructure across different environments. • Ensure adherence to best coding practices and Microsoft standards. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: • 8+ years of experience in .NET development. • Proficiency in .NET Framework & .NET Core (6/7/8), C#, ASP.NET MVC & Core, RESTful APIs, Entity Framework (EF), Azure DevOps, SQL, and Oracle. • Experience leading technical migrations (e.g., .NET 4.8 upgrades). • Strong knowledge of web server management and performance optimization. • Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision. • Experience working in an Agile development environment. NICE TO HAVE: Experience with Azure Services. ADDITIONAL DETAILS: No travel required. Hybrid role based in Frankfort, KY. Reports to: Operations Manager → Team Lead → 6 Developers.
