GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION Provide Network and systems administration of multiple cloud-based environments in Microsoft Azure Government Cloud and Microsoft 365 for DHS S&T. Responsible for resolving complex issues, optimizing system performance, and ensuring seamless operation of our M365 environment, including Power Platform environment and collaboration solution while maintaining high standards of security, compliance, and operational efficiency. QUALIFICATIONS: • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a cloud engineer supporting cloud infrastructure and applications. • Strong understanding of cloud architecture (AWS, Azure) and system evaluations • At least 5 years of experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining Power Platform applications using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents • Strong knowledge of the Power Platform Center of Excellence model and best practices for governance, security, and administration. • Hands on experience with scripting languages and configuration management tools. • Working closely with other IT teams to support integrations and migrations related to M365 and Power Platform services. • Priority support to existing Safety Act Management System application, currently deployed via integrated PowerPages, PowerApps, SharePoint, some Azure function apps • Governance and management of general PowerPlatform environment(s) and applications • Support Power Platform user capabilities, including Governance/Risk/Compliance for Community Developers via individual Development environments, and Sandbox environments for larger architectures/apps • Support scheduled, predictable pipeline deployment for PowerPlatform-based applications, including deploying solutions via automation to production on a regular basis • Build, configure, deploy, secure, and administer cloud system resources, servers, and other multi-user devices to support virtual machines, storage, network, and other off-premises and cloud resources. • Design scalable infrastructure for IT projects to meet specified business needs, including planning and scheduling deployments and incorporating cloud optimization to improve efficiency and save on costs. • Devise and implement technical solutions to suit each situation; recommends the institution of processes and technologies necessary to meet changing office requirements and improve the quality and efficiency of the S&T's work products. • Create new automated jobs and scripts to streamline routine system tasks, including Command Line interfaces, PowerShell, or experience with automated deployment of code. • Monitor consumption, identify inefficiencies in cloud-based systems and resources, and suggest improvements to reduce costs and maximize taxpayer value, especially with PowerPlatform. This may include request fulfillment improvement, application performance, and systems security posture. POSITION REQUIREMENTS • Must be a U.S. Citizen • Bachelor's Degree • Ability to obtain EOD clearance • 5+ years of experience in application analysis and technical requirement gatherings. • 5+ years of experience collecting functional requirements for the purposes of developing detailed plans and designs for delivery of SharePoint/IT solutions. • 5+ years of experience with performance, unit and functional testing. 5+ years of experience performing feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management and participating in development of user manuals and technical ONE of the following certifications: • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ900) OR • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CCP) OR PLUSES: • Active EOD clearance • Current or significant previous experience supporting DHS Employment Type: FULL_TIME
