Job Title: DevOps Infrastructure Engineer Location: Plano, Texas (Hybrid 3 days a week) Company: Financial Services Pay: $130 000 – $170 000. This role is for a 12-month contract, with the opportunity to convert to full time. Overview: We are seeking a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in automation, infrastructure as code (IaC), and configuration management to streamline deployment processes and improve system reliability. This role requires deep experience with Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines, along with proficiency in Go programming for infrastructure automation. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, including custom Terraform providers. • Ensure efficient configuration management with Ansible, including secrets management and automation workflows via Ansible Automation Platform (formerly Ansible Tower). • Write and maintain API documentation for infrastructure components, providers, and automation scripts. • Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure code, ensuring smooth deployment and rollback mechanisms. • Implement best practices for managing secrets, securing authentication tokens, and maintaining infrastructure security. • Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize infrastructure performance, resilience, and scalability. • Utilize Go programming to develop automation tools and enhance infrastructure management efficiency. • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and DevOps best practices, continuously improving workflows. Qualifications & Skills: • Strong experience with Go programming for automation and infrastructure-related development. • Deep understanding of Terraform fundamentals and advanced usage, including custom provider development. • Hands-on experience with Ansible fundamentals and Ansible Automation Platform for infrastructure automation. • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure code deployment and maintenance. • Proficiency in configuration management, ensuring consistent and scalable environments. • Strong understanding of secrets management practices for secure infrastructure access. • Experience in writing clear and comprehensive API and provider documentation. • Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, containerization, and modern deployment methodologies. • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative DevOps environment. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Prior exposure to Kubernetes and container orchestration. • Knowledge of networking and security engineering principles.
