Job Title: Data Scientist Job Type: Contract W2 Job Mode: On-site Location: Albuquerque, NM Duration: 12+ Months (Long Term Possible) Pay Rate: $60 on Contact W2 Position Overview: Senior Data Scientist We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Scientist with over 15 years of expertise in developing and executing impactful data-driven strategies. This role involves designing advanced machine learning models, providing strategic insights, and ensuring alignment of data solutions with business goals. Ideal candidates will bring a deep technical skill set, a proven track record in managing complex data projects, and a history of leveraging analytics to drive business results. Key Responsibilities: • Data Strategy Leadership: Define and implement a comprehensive data strategy, aligning data science initiatives with business objectives through collaboration with key stakeholders. • Advanced Analytics & Modeling: Design, develop, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning and AI to address complex business challenges. • Big Data Management: Architect and optimize large-scale data processing systems and pipelines to ensure efficient data handling and flow. • Database Solutions: Build and manage robust database solutions for efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis, ensuring adherence to industry and company standards. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams to craft data-driven solutions and solve critical business problems. • Mentorship & Team Leadership: Mentor and guide data science team members, fostering continuous learning and professional development. • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate complex data insights and actionable recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike. • Data Governance & Quality Assurance: Implement best practices in data quality, security, and regulatory compliance. • Innovation & Trend Exploration: Stay at the forefront of emerging data science trends, tools, and methodologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge. • Data System Analysis: Continuously assess and optimize data infrastructure, identifying opportunities for improved efficiency and performance. Experience, Skills, and Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred). • Experience: • 15+ years in data science, advanced analytics, or related fields. • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale data science projects across industries like finance, healthcare, or e-commerce. • Technical Proficiency: • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL. • Machine Learning Libraries: Expertise in TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar libraries. • Big Data Tools: Experience with Hadoop, Spark, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). • Data Engineering: Strong understanding of ETL processes, data pipeline development, and database management. • Statistical Analysis & Algorithms: Proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning, AI algorithms, and deep learning. • Data Visualization Tools: Skilled in using visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms. • Leadership & Communication: Proven experience leading data science teams with strong communication skills for conveying insights to diverse audiences. • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Detail-oriented with excellent analytical abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Big Data & Distributed Systems Knowledge: Strong understanding of distributed systems, data storage, and computing for large-scale data handling. Nice-to-Have Skills: • Advanced Python Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Python programming and performance optimization. • Snowflake Knowledge: Familiarity with Snowflake or other modern data warehousing solutions. • ETL & Workflow Management: Experience with ETL frameworks and data pipeline management tools. • Database Proficiency: Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases.
