Azure Data Engineer Azure Data Engineer - Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days remote Salary up to $160K base with excellent bonus and benefits Position Overview We have migrated to an Azure Platform seeking an Azure Data Engineer to ensure the availability, quality and reliability of our data to meet the business needs. In this role you will be 70% hands-on coding and 30% guiding a small offshore vendor-led team of developers. Key Responsibilities • Meet with the business and technology partners to ensure needs to deliver data solutions. • Design, develop implement scalable data pipelines and architectures using Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Synapse. • Design, develop and implement data integration from various sources. • Develop and maintain data models that support business needs, leveraging Pyspark for data manipulation and transformation. • Own and manage all data warehouse deliverables which includes data models, ETL processes and data quality. • Manage day-to-day operations with Azure data, PowerBI and UC4 platforms. • 70% hands-on coding, 30% guiding offshore vendor-led team of developers. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. • 7+ years of experience in data warehousing, data modeling and data transformation. • 5+ years of Azure and Databricks is required. • Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF). • Proficiency with PySpark and Synapse. • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts. • Experience working and/or leading small offshore teams. • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
