Our client in the King of Prussia area is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to help scale, secure, and optimize our infrastructure as they expand their digital mortgage and financial services platform. This is a critical hands-on role where you’ll collaborate with developers, QA, and product managers to streamline the software development lifecycle, enhance system reliability, and drive continuous improvement across our CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure Automation & CI/CD • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI. • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools. • Maintain and evolve infrastructure-as-code standards for consistency, scalability, and security. Cloud Operations & System Reliability • Manage and optimize cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP), ensuring high availability and performance. • Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog). • Champion Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including service level objectives (SLOs), incident response, and root cause analysis. Security & Compliance • Ensure systems and deployments adhere to industry security standards and best practices (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001). • Implement secrets management, encryption, and access control strategies using tools like Vault or AWS KMS. • Conduct regular audits and vulnerability scans across environments. Collaboration & Agile Delivery • Work closely with engineering teams to support application deployment, troubleshoot issues, and provide DevOps expertise. • Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to iterative improvements. • Document best practices and provide internal training to elevate DevOps capabilities across the team. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • 5+ years of hands-on DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering experience in cloud-native environments. • Deep experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP infrastructure and managed services. • Strong scripting or programming skills in Bash, Python, or Go. • Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm). • Expertise in CI/CD tools and Git workflows. • Solid understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls in cloud environments. • Familiarity with security hardening, monitoring, and compliance in regulated industries. • Excellent communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset. • Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading DevOps initiatives is a strong plus. Compensation: $150,000 annually Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
