Job Title: Dynamics 365 F&O Technical Consultant Location: Greensboro, NC Description: We are seeking a skilled Dynamics 365 F&O Technical Consultant with a strong background in development, customization, and integration within the Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with X++, extensions, data entities, and integrations with third-party systems. A consulting mindset, ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and solid technical acumen are essential for this role. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and implement technical solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, primarily focused on the Finance and Accounting modules. • Customize and extend standard functionalities using X++, extensions, and over-layering (if required). • Work closely with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. • Develop and maintain integrations using OData, custom services, data entities, Azure Logic Apps, Power Platform, and other integration tools. • Create technical design documents (TDD) and support functional design documentation. • Perform unit testing, code reviews, and participate in technical deployments. • Troubleshoot system issues and provide post-implementation technical support. • Collaborate with solution architects, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery. • (Preferred) Experience in integrating or customizing Dynamics 365 Customer Service (case management). Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Proven hands-on development experience in Dynamics 365 F&O (AX 2012 or D365FO), especially with financial modules. • Proficiency in X++, data entities, and D365 technical architecture. • Experience in creating custom workflows, reports (SSRS), batch jobs, and business logic extensions. • Good understanding of LCS (Lifecycle Services), Azure DevOps, and code promotion processes. • Strong understanding of D365 data models and integration techniques (OData, REST/JSON, DMF, CDS, etc.). • Ability to work effectively in agile and collaborative environments. Preferred Qualifications: • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate. • Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and Azure Functions. • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Customer Service and its integration with F&O. • Exposure to Azure services like Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Event Grid. • Knowledge of automotive industry-specific requirements and customizations. Consulting Background: • Proven experience in a technical consulting role with a focus on Dynamics 365 F&O. • Ability to collaborate with functional teams and clients to deliver high-quality technical solutions. • Experience in managing expectations, delivering technical workshops, and supporting solution architecture discussions. • Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and client communication skills.
