Job Description: • Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of our Linux server infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. • Develop and implement best practices for system administration, security, and configuration management. • Mentor and guide level 1 and level 2 administrators, providing technical support and advancing their professional growth. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and modern technology implementations. • Lead efforts to automate routine tasks and streamline system operations using scripting and configuration management tools. • Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex issues, ensuring rapid resolution and minimizing downtime. • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides. • Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with security standards. • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Linux administration. • Handle escalations, work closely with customers, and provide RCA for issues within SLA. • Review performance of the team and share details with customers. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field. • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Linux Administrator at Level 2 or Level 3. • Extensive experience in managing and optimizing Linux distributions (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, RedHat). • Proficiency in virtualization, and containerization technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker, Kubernetes). • Excellent scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.) and experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef). • Deep understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, and security principles. • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior team members effectively. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges. • Prior experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS (Amazon Web Services), Azure) is a plus. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams. • Relevant certifications such as RHCE and LPIC are a plus.
