ARCHITECT I JOB OVERVIEW Full-time Architect I to participate on various projects through all phases of design and construction. An employee in this role should be a creative, self-motivated design professional who is able to utilize current technologies to achieve design excellence. This position reports to the Senior Architect, Team Lead. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES • Collaborate as part of a team and work on a wide range of projects through all phases of design and construction • Lead the design and/or serve as the project manager for small to medium sized projects • Lead and be responsible for the production of accurate technical drawings, documents, and project specifications, including but not limited to, life safety plans, life cycle cost analysis (LCCA), sustainability initiatives, and other required project documentation • Assist in the creation of project fee proposals, in collaboration with the Contracts Manager • Responsible for the completion of design layouts and features by researching, compiling and recording information • Compile and analyze all relevant project data to prepare project presentations, drawings and specifications • Lead the coordination of project consultant teams • Responsible for building assessments and field verification activities • Use project checklists and our established standards during all project phases • Lead the project team to the timely completion of all project deadlines, including budget compliance • Attend and lead project meetings and site visits; responsible for meeting minutes and reports detailing observations • Review completed plans, reports, estimates and calculations from consultants and internal project team prior to review by Senior Architect(s) • Oversee and produce project renderings and graphic representations for review by the Director of Design • Be a resource to Emerging Professionals and Architectural Staff • Help to maintain project information within our established technologies (i.e. Deltek Vantagepoint), approve project time and invoices, and update schedules weekly • Assist in the pursuit of new projects, including attending interviews and reviewing project proposals • Work closely with project leadership and team to achieve a high level of project success • Apply a rigorous concept-based design process to justify decision making • Anticipated billable performance: 90% SKILLS • Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization and graphic software; REVIT strongly preferred • Strong knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and BIM360 • Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, specifications and building codes • Strong communication and organizational skills • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment QUALIFICATIONS • Professional Degree in Architecture • Licensure highly preferred • 3+ years of experience Job Type: Full-time Pay: $91,928.00 - $96,813.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off Compensation Package: • Bonus opportunities Education: • Bachelor's (Required) Experience: • architectural design: 3 years (Required) • Revit: 3 years (Required) License/Certification: • Architecture License (Preferred) Ability to Commute: • Raleigh, NC 27609 (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: • Raleigh, NC 27609: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
