(CIRI) assisting corporate services including procurement, courier, and warehouse activities in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Responsible for ensuring appropriate levels of inventory are available and maintained in an orderly manner. Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities) • Day of contact for conference center rentals and facility services for the Fireweed Business Center, including third party rentals and CIRI events. • Manages daily tasks related to CIRI’s mailroom and the Fireweed Business Center shipping and receiving area. • Maintains sufficient inventory of all small wares, both in-house and at the warehouse. Updates inventory lists (including accounting asset list) as necessary. • Maintains the company’s Hazard Communications Plan for the Fireweed Business Center and is the primary point of contact related to hazardous chemicals on-site and at the warehouse. • Manages the disposal of unused items. Develops and maintains a list of organizations who take surplus/unused items. • Assist the records department with audits of archived business records by comparing box content with database and noting discrepancies. • Responsible for reviewing coded invoices in a timely manner ensuring invoice accuracy and that products/services have been received. • Review monthly budget detail and discuss with supervisor. • Oversees CIRI’s kitchen needs, including shopping and collecting recycling. • Oversees and maintains staffing for the shipping and receiving area at the Fireweed Business Center for all building tenants. • Responsible for ensuring that courier services, errands and deliveries are provided in a professional and timely manner. • Responsible for maintaining an efficient and orderly warehouse. On call 24 hours a day for warehouse security and emergencies. • Serves as a point of contact and oversees minor CIRI maintenance issues. • Assures company vehicles are properly maintained and have IM tests, current registration tags and insurance documentation. Tracks all bills and receipts for vehicle maintenance database and manages the vehicle GPS tracking system. • Provides logistical support for shareholder and employee events. • Performs other duties as appropriate and as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities • Understand CIRI’s mission, vision and strategic focus areas and incorporate knowledge into daily activities. • Knowledge of general warehouse and inventory management procedures. • Familiar with the greater Anchorage area. • Ability to deal with frequent changes, delays, interruptions and/or unexpected events or situations. • Make decisions, problem solve and exercise excellent judgment. • Ability to follow directions and carry out detailed instructions, either oral or written. • Work independently as well as on a team and with minimal supervision. • Proficient in using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook and industry-standard computer software and databases. • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff, affiliated-company employees as well as outside business associates; exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others. • Clean, professional appearance. • Good oral and written communication skills, including telephone etiquette, thorough knowledge of proper grammar, advanced vocabulary, spelling, editing and proofreading skills. • Ability to work after hours or weekends with advance notice. • High degree of sensitivity regarding confidential information. Physical Abilities • Ability to walk and/or stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time. • Ability to kneel, crawl, bend, and twist at the waist on an occasional basis. • Visual ability adequate to perform the essential functions of the job. • Ability to reach at, above and below shoulder height with regular frequency. • Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and greater weights on an occasional basis. • Ability to maintain balance on uneven surfaces and ladders, and to negotiate stairs on an occasional basis. • Sufficient fine and gross motor skills to operate computers and other equipment as required. • Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely. Minimum Qualifications • High school diploma, some college preferred. • One year of customer service experience. • Must be at least 21 years of age. • Must have a valid Alaska driver’s license. • Must have or be able to obtain a ServeSafe certification within first 30 days of employment. • Ability to pass a background and driving record check.
