The Opportunity Our AI&D team applies cutting-edge technology and techniques to deliver innovative solutions to our clients in the Life Science sector. As a Senior Consultant specializing in Data Analysis and Visualization, you will work closely with clients and diverse teams from EY to provide a comprehensive approach to advising and solving challenging problems, some of which have not been solved before. Your Key Responsibilities As an experienced and dynamic Senior Data Visualization Consultant, you will be primarily responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and optimizing data visualization solutions for our clients. You will help them make sense of complex data sets, streamline processes, and ensure that data-driven methods are efficient, cost-effective, and meet the highest standards of accuracy and validity. Your responsibilities will include: • Assisting multiple client engagement teams, working with a wide variety of clients to navigate the complex world of advanced analytics and data visualization. • Providing clients with unique business perspectives on how data visualization can transform and improve their entire organization, starting with key business issues they face. • Developing and implementing data collecting systems and strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality. • Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing ongoing visual reports. • Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets through visual means. • Working with management to prioritize business and informational needs through data visualization. • Developing models to support decision-making in specified functional areas and defining metrics through visual insights. • Providing statistical expertise and guidance to Life Science teams and stakeholders through visual storytelling. Skills and Attributes for Success • Strong Life Sciences Functional and Technical experience, with a focus on data visualization. • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst with a strong portfolio in data visualization. • Advanced level SQL programming and Data Visualization skills (Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire, D3.js). • Experience in data storytelling and knowledge of how people make decisions with data. • Knowledge in data modeling, data mining, and segmentation techniques, with the ability to present complex information visually. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. To Qualify for the Role You Must Have • A bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, Math, Statistics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with approximately three years of related work experience; or a graduate degree in the same and approximately two years of related work experience. • A minimum of two years’ experience providing consulting services with a strategic focus on data visualization to help clients achieve transformational value. • Must have two years’ programming experience in at least two of the following: R, Python, SQL, with a strong emphasis on data visualization tools. • A willingness to travel to meet client needs. A valid driver’s license in the US is required. Ideally, You’ll Also Have • Cloud Big Data skills, such as Azure, AWS, Snowflake. • Experience with data and systems architecture (APIs, messaging, etc.). • Experience with master data management and data governance. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $105,800 to $174,800. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $127,100 to $198,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
