About Us: NQS is a cutting-edge healthcare SaaS company, building a mission-critical platform for hospital trauma programs. Our platform is a fully containerized, microservices-based, cloud-native solution that leverages AI, real-time analytics, and highly secure architectures to streamline trauma registry workflows and charge reconciliation. We are looking for a Principal or Senior Staff Software Engineer—someone who has built and scaled high-performance distributed systems, knows Python/Django inside out, and can architect, optimize, and secure a Kubernetes-powered, high-throughput application in Microsoft Azure AKS. If you’ve built multi-tenant SaaS systems, solved deep infrastructure problems, and optimized real-time microservices at scale, we want to talk to you. Key Responsibilities: Architecting & Scaling: Design and optimize Django-based microservices to handle millions of transactions per day. Kubernetes (AKS) Mastery: Implement distributed services, service meshes, and containerized workflows with zero-downtime deployments. Security-First Mindset: Ensure HIPAA-compliance, role-based access control (RBAC), encryption (TLS 1.3), and API security best practices. High-Performance API Design: Optimize REST APIs, introduce GraphQL or gRPC if needed, and reduce latencyto sub-100ms levels. Advanced Caching & Storage: Leverage Redis, PostgreSQL, and object storage (Azure Storage) for high-speed, fault-tolerant architectures. Cloud-Native Optimization: Implement scalable event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Event Grid. Automation & DevOps: Design CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions (or similar), Kubernetes operators, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm, etc.). Ensure automated testing, code scanning, and container image security checks are seamlessly integration. AI/ML Integration (if applicable): Work with predictive models, AI-powered decision support, and real-time streaming analytics. Mentoring & Leadership: Drive technical excellence, set coding standards, and mentor a team of highly skilled engineers. Requirements: 8-12+ years of experience in Python (Django/FastAPI/Flask) and microservices development. Expert-level Kubernetes knowledge (Azure AKS preferred, or GKE/EKS). Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP)—not just usage, but architecture-level knowledge. Mastery of PostgreSQL (sharding, query optimization, multi-region replication). Hands-on experience with Redis for caching, Celery for distributed tasks, and asynchronous processing architectures. Experience scaling high-traffic, multi-tenant SaaS applications. Strong understanding of distributed computing, service discovery, and event-driven architectures. Security expertise: Identity & access management (OAuth2, SSO, RBAC), API security, threat modeling. Experience in real-time logging, monitoring, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). A DevOps mindset – you write infrastructure-as-code and automate deployments at scale. Strong problem-solving ability – you optimize systems, not just code. Bonus Skills: Experience with Kafka or Azure Event Hubs for high-throughput event processing. Advanced AI/ML knowledge for predictive analytics in healthcare IT. Experience with FHIR/HL7 standards for healthcare interoperability. Real-time data streaming expertise for high-speed analytics. Experience leading architecture decisions for multi-million-dollar SaaS platforms. About Us: Game-Changing Work – Build a cutting-edge, mission-critical healthcare platform that actually makes an impact. Security & Scale – Work on HIPAA-compliant, multi-tenant SaaS built for hospitals, research centers, and trauma registries. Fully Remote & Global Team – Work from anywhere with top engineers around the world. Leadership & Growth – Be a founding technical leader shaping the future of our next-gen cloud platform. Competitive Compensation & Equity – Get paid well and have stock/equity in a high-growth company. Who Should Apply? • If you're a 10x engineer who has scaled Python/Django systems in Kubernetes-powered cloud architectures, built high-performance APIs, and optimized SaaS products to handle millions of transactions, this role is for you.
