Database Administrator (DBA) As a Database Administrator, you'll play a key role in ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our databases—both on-premises and in the cloud. As one of the largest retail futures platforms in the world, we handle thousands of transactions per second, so your expertise will help maintain our systems' stability, scalability, and efficiency. Lead complex database projects that require specialized technical knowledge Make well-informed decisions on complex database challenges Provide technical expertise to ensure database performance and reliability Oversee database health, performing end-to-end administrative tasks Resolve database issues and provide solutions Collaborate with teams to integrate data across multiple systems Develop and maintain automation scripts for database tasks Implement and maintain security and access controls Monitor and optimize database performance for efficiency and scalability Design and execute database backup, audit, and recovery strategies Support daily operations for production environments and multiple development environments Develop disaster recovery plans and high availability strategies Implement data encryption, access controls, and auditing processes Establish and enforce database policies, procedures, and standards Analyze and optimize query performance, indexing, and database configuration Collaborate with development teams to enhance application performance Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents, including participating in on-call rotations Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, focusing on relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL) Strong knowledge of data management practices such as replication, backup, security, encryption, and data masking Experience with large-scale migrations and implementation of database solutions Expertise in high availability, disaster recovery, and replication strategies Proficiency in SQL, database monitoring, and performance tuning Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Azure Database Administrator) are a plus Hybrid schedule with over 55% remote flexibility 7 paid holidays annually + 5 conditional holidays Comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage Life and disability insurance fully covered Flexible spending accounts for transit and parking We are dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
