This Contract to Hire role as a Database Specialist in Richardson, TX or Chicago, IL is responsible for installing, deploying and configuring Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance and related technologies. Pay Rate: $84.27 - $87.27 per hour Responsibilities: · Install, deploy and configure Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance and related technologies · Provide recommendations to application team on which database use for the production use cases · Work with automation engineers and provide database options to setup infrastructure as code for provisioning · Setup standards for setting up databases in azure along with networking best practices · Establish good security practices and standards associated with it · Support production Database Administrators to understand the Azure PaaS options and setup using best practices · Disaster Recovery setup · Understand Azure platform well to know the different options for database setup · Assist with automation and infrastructure as code efforts with the team as database Subject Matter Expert Job Requirements: · Minimum of 5 years of experience with Azure networking and security.
