Job description

In this role, you will: - Create highly complex physical design and engineering prototype parts and assemblies in CATIA or SolidWorks - Accurately model complex surfaces, geometries, and assemblies - Generate accurate and concise drawings, including prototyping fabrication details - Utilize a broad range of techniques such as machining, metal fabrication, welding, laser cutting, water jet, and additive manufacturing equipment - Use and maintain manual shop equipment, additive manufacturing equipment, and CNC machine tools - Design and build tools and molds for casting or composites, and produce sample parts Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field - 7+ years of experience in prototyping or model making for design and engineering - Mastery of CATIA or SolidWorks for prototyping applications - Experience driving complex prototyping projects across multiple functions Bonus Qualifications - Experience with supplier management and development to support Prototyping - Experience with documentation tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Confluence - MIG and TIG welding experience
