This full-time role is central to our mission of delivering enterprise-wide reporting and analytics across Johnson Brothers . You’ll work in an agile environment, helping shape the future of our data infrastructure and reporting capabilities. What You’ll Do • Own and maintain our Microsoft Power BI data infrastructure (Azure SQL, pipelines, tables). • Architect and optimize data flows across Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake, and Power BI. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data acquisition across Sales, Operations, and more. • Design and manage scalable, secure, and high-performing data models and pipelines. • Lead capacity planning and performance tuning for Power BI datasets and reports. • Contribute to the design of end-to-end data solutions, from ingestion to visualization. • Support data governance efforts, including metadata management and data lineage using tools like Microsoft Purview. • Partner with business stakeholders to explore AI/ML opportunities and integrate them into reporting solutions. • Share knowledge and mentor Power BI users across the organization. • Document data models, definitions, and reporting assets for transparency and reuse. What You Bring Must-Haves • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI (Power BI Desktop, Power Query, Power Pivot, Power BI Service). • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure data services (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake). • Proven ability to optimize Power BI performance and manage capacity planning. • Strong UI/UX design experience delivering impactful insight. • Solid SQL skills and experience with SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS. • Strong communication and collaboration skills—able to work independently and cross-functionally. Nice-to-Haves • Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Purview. • Familiarity with data management disciplines like MDM, data governance, and data quality. • Experience working with mixed onshore/offshore teams. • Experience in working in an agile environment and the Microsoft DevOps toolset. • Prior experience working with offshore teams to support Power BI development and deployment in a distributed environment. Location & Flexibility • Preferred: Twin Cities, Minnesota (St. Paul HQ) with a hybrid schedule • Open to: Remote candidates with strong alignment to role requirements in one of Johnson Brothers established markets The expected pay range for this role is $77,316 - $130,000. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity, union status (where applicable) and alignment with market data.
