Job Title: Senior MS SQL Database Administrator (DBA) Location: Fort Mill, SC or Jersey City, NJ Duration: Full-time Domain: Wealth Management Job Description: We are looking for a highly skilled Senior MS SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to lead the management, optimization, and automation of our Microsoft SQL Server environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with MS SQL Server 2016/2020, Always On Availability Groups, large-scale migrations, and automation while working in a Windows Server 2019/2022 and VMWare environment. Key Responsibilities: • Manage, configure, and optimize MS SQL Server databases (2016/2020) for performance, scalability, and reliability. • Set up and maintain Always On Availability Groups for high availability and disaster recovery. • Perform large-scale database migrations with minimal downtime. • Automate database build, configuration, and maintenance tasks. • Work with Windows Server 2019/2022 to support database infrastructure. • Manage Network network-attached storage (NAS) and optimize database storage performance. • Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues. • Collaborate with IT and development teams to support application and data-driven initiatives. Required Skills & Experience: • 10+ years of experience as an MS SQL DBA. • Expertise in MS SQL Server 2016/2020 and database administration best practices. • Hands-on experience with AlwaysOn Availability Groups for high availability. • Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2019/2022 administration. • Experience with large-scale database migrations and data movement strategies. • Proficiency in build/configuration automation for database environments. • Experience working with VMWare and Network Attached Storage (NAS). Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
