Tatum by Randstad is seeking a highly skilled Financial Systems Consultant to support our client, in a transformative financial data infrastructure initiative. This consultant will play a key role in building a Microsoft-based financial data warehouse from the ground up, leveraging tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in finance and accounting along with technical expertise in data management and reporting systems. Our Client is a leading controls technology company delivering integrated building automation and energy management solutions. Their FP&A team is undergoing a digital transformation to enhance financial visibility and reporting capabilities across the organization. Key Responsibilities • Support the development of a Microsoft-based financial data warehouse (Excel, SQL, Power BI) • Design and implement financial controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and audit-readiness • Reconcile financial data across various systems and ensure data integrity • Develop and maintain insightful dashboards and financial reports using Power BI • Collaborate with FP&A leadership to gather requirements and build technical reporting solutions • Identify data inconsistencies and recommend improvements to processes and system architecture • Document technical processes and provide training to internal finance teams Required Qualifications • Strong finance or accounting background • Proven experience developing dashboards and using DAX in Microsoft Power BI • Proficient in SQL, including writing queries, stored procedures, and data integration • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, particularly in financial modeling and complex formula usage • Experience building or implementing financial controls within data systems • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications • Previous involvement in financial system, ERP, or data warehouse implementations • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure data services (a plus) • Knowledge of financial reporting standards and audit best practices
