Description Job Title: SharePoint Knowledge Manager Department: Operations - Services Reports To: RavenTek Program Manager Location: MacDill Air Force Base, Florida Schedule: Monday - Friday Hours: Full-time, 40-hours/week FLSA Status: Exempt Clearance: TS/SCI Position Summary The SharePoint Knowledge Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) by managing and optimizing the organization's knowledge resources through the utilization of SharePoint and other relevant tools. This individual is responsible for implementing strategies to enhance knowledge sharing, collaboration, and information management. The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end-user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and the end-user who operates around the globe 24x7x365. The performance of this position is key to RavenTek's performance on the contract, and therefore RavenTek's mission to support SITEC. Essential Duties and Responsibilities SharePoint Management • Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint sites, portals, and solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of USSOCOM. • Configure SharePoint features, including document libraries, lists, workflows, and permissions, to streamline information access and collaboration. • Ensure the security and integrity of SharePoint sites, implementing best practices for data protection and access control. Knowledge Management • Develop and implement knowledge management strategies to facilitate the capture, organization, and dissemination of critical information within USSOCOM. • Identify knowledge gaps and opportunities for improvement and implement solutions to enhance knowledge sharing and retention. • Establish and maintain taxonomies, metadata, and classification schemes to ensure effective categorization and retrieval of information resources. • Promote a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing among USSOCOM personnel through training, workshops, and communication initiatives. • Facilitate the use of collaborative tools and platforms, such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and other relevant technologies, to support virtual teamwork and information exchange. • Provide guidance and support to users on best practices for leveraging SharePoint and other tools to enhance productivity and collaboration. Content Management • Oversee the creation, review, and organization of content within SharePoint sites, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and compliance with organizational standards. • Develop content management policies and procedures to govern the lifecycle of information assets, from creation to archival or disposal. General • Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period. • Complete and submit Monthly Status Reports (MSR) to the Project Manager by COB on the last working day of the month. • Complete required compliance training as assigned. • Monitor and respond to RavenTek email a minimum of 3 times per week. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Knowledge, and Critical Skills • Strong understanding of information architecture principles, content management systems, and collaboration tools. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and educate users at all levels of the organization. Education & Work Experience • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 2 years of relevant experience. • Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 5+ years of relevant experience. • Previous experience in SharePoint administration, knowledge management, or information management, preferably in a military or government context. Certifications, Licenses • Certifications: DoD 8570.01M IAT II. • Certification in SharePoint administration or knowledge management (e.g., Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate) is highly desirable. Special Requirements • TS/SCI clearance required. Work Environment Employees will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Potential moderate temperature fluctuations. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs regularly. Physical Demands To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, the employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; see to read printed materials and computer screens; mobility to work in a typical office setting. Ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and may be required to provide recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employees must be able to lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically up to 20 pounds.
