Azure Software Engineer 💰 Salary: 100,000 - 140,000 USD per year At Penske Truck Leasing we are looking for a Java engineer! 🛠️ Our tech stack: API, AWS, Angular, Azure, Backend, Bamboo, BitBucket, CI/CD, Cloud, CSS, Computer Vision, Confluence, DevOps, Git, Gulp, HTML5, Support, JIRA, JSON, Java, JavaScript, Kubernetes, Machine Learning, Maven, Mobile, NodeJS, OpenShift, Oracle, Postman, Python, SQL, Security, Splunk, Spring, Swagger, TDD, TypeScript, UML, Web, XML, microservices, UX UI Design 📝 Rquirements: We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications: - A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 5+ years of Development Experience in Java. - 3+ years of experience in developing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. - Proficiency in Azure Cognitive Services, AI/ML, and Azure services, such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, and Azure SQL Database. - Knowledge of cloud-native development frameworks and tools. - Experience with Java development and deployment in OpenShift/Kubernetes containerized environments. - Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Developer, Azure AI Engineer) are preferred. - Strong understanding of cloud application architecture, design principles, and cloud-native development frameworks and tools. - Familiarity with machine learning and data science concepts, and knowledge of Python programming is a plus. - Technical project management skills. - Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs. - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle. - Ability to research emerging cloud development frameworks and tools. - A team player mindset with an ability to thrive and effectively communicate in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues, with regular and predictable attendance as an essential function of the job. - Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, and complete a Penske employment application, including a background investigation and drug screening. 👩‍💻👨‍💻 Your responsibilities are: As a Penske Azure Cloud Developer, I will be responsible for: - Staying up-to-date with the latest Azure technologies, best practices, and industry trends to continuously improve our cloud application capabilities. - Providing cloud-based technical guidance and mentorship to team members. - Collaborating with cross-functional technical/business leaders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient cloud solutions. - Acting as the primary contact and lead support associate for multiple application modules/processes, resolving customer issues in a timely manner. - Participating in all aspects of the Software Development lifecycle by supporting existing software development efforts and developing new software modules. - Developing, maintaining, testing, analyzing performance, and troubleshooting/fixing applications and applicable code. - Delegating tasks and participating in reviewing code from junior onshore and offshore developers. - Taking part in conducting new hire interviews. - Producing deliverables with clean, well-documented, and easily maintainable code that adheres to defined coding standards and best practices. - Designing backend database schemas, using concepts such as Database Normalization and writing complex SQL statements. - Writing unit/UI tests to identify defects and leveraging CI/CD for building and deploying code. - Triaging production issues and working with multiple teams to perform problem analysis. - Influencing the discovery and decision-making process when changes to standards and technology are required. - Providing support to the business by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues. - Implementing best practices for cloud application security, compliance, and governance.
