Arthur Grand Technologies is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sr. Business Intelligence Developer – Full Time Permanent – Rochester, NY for one of our clients. Job Title: Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer Location: Ogden (Rochester), NY – Onsite Employment Type: Full-Time We are seeking a skilled Senior BI Developer to join our team in New York Location. This Onsite role (3 days onsite) focuses on transforming complex data into strategic insights through Power BI and advanced SQL development. You’ll play a key role in supporting business decisions across financial, sales, and operational functions. Key Responsibilities · Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports · Create efficient data models to support robust reporting and analytics · Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights · Extract, cleanse, and transform data from diverse sources with a focus on accuracy and integrity · Optimize DAX calculations and Power BI performance for large-scale datasets · Automate data refresh processes using Power BI Service and scheduled data pipelines · Work with IT/data engineering to integrate new data sources into reporting systems · Provide training and documentation to encourage self-service BI across the organization SQL & Data Management · Take ownership of SQL-based database assets including views, stored procedures, and triggers · Analyze, document, and refactor legacy SQL code for performance and maintainability · Design and build new SQL objects as needed to meet evolving business needs · Support data governance practices and ensure database security and compliance · Conduct impact assessments and regression testing for SQL code changes Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field (preferred) · Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (preferred) · 3–5+ years of experience in BI, data analytics, or a related role · Advanced Power BI skills (DAX, Power Query/M, visualization best practices) · Proficient in data modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake) and ETL processes · Experience working with financial and sales datasets to derive insights · Strong SQL expertise, with hands-on experience in SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar platforms · Solid understanding of database design, normalization, and performance optimization · Comfortable working with legacy systems and reverse-engineering complex SQL logic · Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or similar tools · Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus Arthur Grand Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer (including disability/vets) About Arthur Grand Technologies: Arthur Grand Technologies is a leading provider of staffing and technology consulting services.
