The ideal candidate will possess an extensive background in software architecture, with proven expertise in understanding, documenting, and modernizing legacy systems. This role is strategic in preparing for future application modernization by providing comprehensive insights and direction for the existing system. The candidate will be responsible for architecting solutions, addressing technical debt, and ensuring the long-term health and efficiency of the system. Essential Job Functions • Architect and lead the development of web applications, ensuring high functionality, responsiveness, and scalability. • Provide strategic operational support, troubleshooting complex issues, and minimizing downtime. • Lead collaboration efforts with front-end and back-end developers to implement new features and integrate user-facing elements. • Optimize the application for maximum speed, scalability, and security, setting standards and best practices. • Oversee server environment configuration, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. • Administer and architect database solutions, ensuring performance optimization and security compliance. • Lead the entire application lifecycle, with a focus on high-level coding, debugging, and testing strategies. • Document all operational, maintenance, and upgrade procedures, ensuring clarity and accessibility. • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Qualifications EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s degree with seven (7) or more years of work experience as a developer or architect. • Experience with multiple programming languages and frameworks. • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus. Knowledge Skills & Abilities • n-depth knowledge of software architecture principles and best practices. • Extensive expertise in designing and maintaining scalable web applications. • Advanced proficiency in database management and performance optimization. • Expertise in server setup and maintenance. • Strong understanding of front-end and back-end technologies. • In-depth knowledge of best practices in application security, particularly in a cloud environment. • Advanced experience performing unit testing and managing APIs. • Comprehensive understanding of application design and architecture. • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. • Practical experience using various architectural patterns and frameworks. • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex software issues. • Proven ability to lead and work collaboratively in a team environment, with strong communication skills. • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and their application in software development projects.
