As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer, the qualified candidate will collaborate with internal departments in order to provide valuable reporting and analysis to support strategic initiatives and help determine the future reporting direction of Midland Mortgage, a Division of MidFirst Bank. The BI Developer is responsible for all stages of the business intelligence cycle: understanding business objectives, collecting business requirements, translating business requirements into data requirements, designing and developing reports or dashboards (code and visualization). Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: • Design, build, deploy, and maintain BI reporting to support business requirements • Collaborate with business users and managers to discover reporting needs and develop solutions • Generate insight to enable leaders to quickly and accurately see how the business and processes are performing • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of multiple business processes and directions • Manage multiple projects simultaneously to completion and to the satisfaction of stakeholders • Analyze data for anomalies, accuracy, and applicability to business unit requests • Identify opportunities to improve processes and strategies with technology solutions Advanced knowledge of the following systems, languages, and concepts preferred: • WebFOCUS / FOCUS • Business intelligence / data warehouse concepts • SQL Server / relational databases • HTML / CSS • Microsoft Access / Microsoft Excel using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) • JavaScript QUALIFICATIONS: • At least 1 year of applicable work experience • This position requires a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other business related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or 3-5 years of commensurate experience in lieu of a degree • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills • In-depth knowledge of BI and reporting concepts and techniques • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including strong listening skills • Excellent attention to detail • Ability to turn complex concepts into understandable content for non-technical users • Ability to work independently and within a team environment • Experience in managing large amounts of data from various sources • A strong willingness to learn, adapt, and actively contribute to the success of the organization
