Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities In this role you will provide systems administration support to the business globally. Working primarily in a Linux environment, the Linux Systems Administrator is familiar with networking concepts and design as well as Windows system administration. The Linux Systems Administrator is able to write complex scripts to automate processes, and troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix unusual problems. This role requires strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as an innate curiosity and eagerness to learn and grow. Key Responsibilities: • Administer writing and debugging complex scripts (Bash, Perl, Python, PowerShell) to facilitate process automation. • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python). • Identifies, diagnoses and troubleshoots unusual problems, fixing the issue, often remotely. • Deploy and configuration of various flavors of Linux (Alma Linux, RHEL, Ubuntu). • Build and maintain virtualization platforms. • Design/Deploy/Maintain an Active Directory. • Design/Build/Maintain high performance computer networks including firewall maintenance. • Hands-on building and maintaining of servers and other information technology hardware • Creating Ansible playbooks and roles for configuring servers. • Assist with support of monitoring systems including Nagios and Zabbix. • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes and documentation utilizing predominately wiki. Skills Required: • Advanced experience using bash, perl and/or python scripting. Powershell skills and experience are highly desired. • Linux (CentOS, Alma, RedHat, Ubuntu) proficiency. • Ability to manage several complex assignments at once. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Ability to work independently of as part (leader) of a small team. • Ability to work with minimal supervision. • Comfortable working with a screwdriver and performing basic hardware maintenance. Required Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience • Minimum 7 years of Linux System Administration experience Additional Eligibility Qualifications: • Additional scripting/automation experience (Bash, Python, Perl, PowerShell, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.) is highly desired. • Knowledge of database technologies (MySQL/MariaDB, Postgres, etc.). • Experience with Apache web servers, SSL certs, DNS Administration, etc. • Strong knowledge using LDAP, particularly as it relates to Active Directory. • Familiarity with Xen Server / XCP-ng. • Experience utilizing Fortinet firewalls. • Knowledge of IBM Spectrum Protect (formerly Tivoli Storage Manager or TSM) • Knowledge of cloud technologies (especially Azure and AWS) Travel: Occasional travel may be required to any of our office locations within the USA or internationally.
