Job Description: As a MS Business Intelligence Developer, you will work under the supervision of the Strategic Data Management & Solutions team to develop end-to-end data system projects. This role focuses on transforming raw data into meaningful insights through the implementation of Microsoft Business Intelligence solutions. Responsibilities include designing a three-layer data process, automating data collection through ETL processes, integrating data into data warehouses, and building analytical data cubes. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver solutions within established timelines. Key Responsibilities: • Create databases and schema objects to build fiscal systems from historical data files. • Automate raw data collection from FTP client servers (CSV, Excel, etc.) and configure automated workflows. • Develop and automate ETL processes using SSIS to load and cleanse data efficiently. • Configure FTP tasks and set up mail notifications for ETL processes using SSIS. • Design, develop, and deploy SSIS packages, implementing event handlers and error notifications. • Create error reports using BI tools to assist data submitters in validating raw data files. • Write complex T-SQL scripts to build joins and apply business logic for data processing. • Design data models, building Dimension and Fact tables to ensure consistent and accurate output through calculated fields. • Develop and optimize stored procedures for populating and maintaining data warehouse tables. • Build OLAP cubes and DataMarts for analytical and business intelligence reporting. Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in SQL Server development, including strong proficiency in T-SQL. • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft BI tools (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI). • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence development, specifically building data warehouses and data marts. • 4+ years of experience as an ETL Developer with expertise in SSIS package creation and deployment. • Experience with dimensional modeling, including star schema and snowflake schema methodologies. • Proficiency in building OLAP cubes and DataMarts to support analytical reporting. • Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills with the ability to optimize query performance. • Experience working in fiscal or finance-related industries is preferred but not required.
