Director of DevOps and Infrastructure Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid Role) Must be currently working in a Director level or higher role and have done so for an enterprise-size company. No sponsorship or relocations! Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Director of Infrastructure and DevOps to oversee our IT infrastructure and devops team (networking, system, cloud) This critical senior leadership role ensures the reliability, scalability, and security of our technology environment while aligning IT infrastructure strategies with our business goals and technological innovation. Key Responsibilities: As the Director of Infrastructure and DevOps, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for multiple technical teams, including Systems, Networking and DevOps. You will define and implement infrastructure strategies aligned with business priorities and collaborate extensively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive technological integration. Your role involves budget planning, cost management, and maintaining strategic vendor relationships. You will oversee the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of enterprise-scale IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems, and cloud environments. Your responsibilities will include ensuring infrastructure performance, reliability, and scalability, monitoring system health, and enhancing disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Promoting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) practices across the teams will also be essential. You will manage cloud initiatives, driving cloud migrations and management across platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Additionally, you will ensure successful project execution, lifecycle management of IT hardware/software, and lead critical incident management and resolution processes. You will be instrumental in championing continuous improvement and innovation, staying ahead of industry trends, and leveraging emerging technologies to optimize performance, availability, and cost-effectiveness of IT infrastructure. Required Qualifications: Experience: • Minimum of 15 years of comprehensive IT experience, including at least 10 years in senior leadership roles managing large-scale, enterprise-level IT infrastructures. • Extensive hands-on experience and proven leadership in Infrastructure and DevOps, including cloud migrations, networking, systems engineering, and virtualization. • Demonstrated expertise with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), infrastructure security, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. Skills & Competencies: • Expert knowledge in managing complex IT infrastructure environments, including virtualization technologies, networking, storage solutions, and DevOps practices. • Deep understanding of infrastructure security, compliance frameworks, and risk management principles. • Strong leadership skills, with proven ability to develop, mentor, and manage high-performing teams. • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management capabilities, able to handle multiple priorities effectively. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, balancing technical challenges with strategic business objectives. • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect. • Experience managing enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, and collaboration platforms. • Knowledge and application of automation and scripting tools to enhance infrastructure operations.
