Job Title : Project Cost Analyst Location: Houston, TX (Onsite) Duration: Long-term contract Position Overview: The Project Cost Analyst is a vital member of our construction team, responsible for providing detailed cost analysis and tracking for large construction projects or Data Center. This role is essential to ensure that projects are completed within the approved budget and to identify potential cost-saving opportunities. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related fields. A master's degree may be preferred. Experience: At least 8-10 years of experience in project cost analysis or cost engineering, preferably in construction projects or data center builds. Of this experience it is preferable that at least one year by in a Owner’s Representative capacity Familiarity with project management methodologies and practices. Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and financial information. Proficiency in cost estimation, forecasting, and budgeting techniques. Experience with project controls systems such as Oracle Unifier or Procore for document management, cost tracking, and change management. Skills with other, similar systems are acceptable. A strong background in Earned Value Management is preferred. Software Proficiency: Cost Estimation and Analysis: Tools like CostX, RSMeans, or Sage Estimating. Skills with other, similar systems are acceptable. Project Management: Proficiency in tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or ProjectManager.com for scheduling and tracking project costs. Financial Analysis: Skills in using Excel for financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting. Project Controls Systems: Experience with systems like Oracle Unifier or Procore for document management, cost tracking, and change management. ERP Systems: Experience with enterprise resource planning systems like SAP or Oracle for cost control and financial management.
