What You'll Do - Analyze product costing, including bills of materials (BOM), labor, overhead, and production costs. Ensure accuracy in cost estimates and maintain up-to-date costing records. - Oversee inventory valuation, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Perform reconciliations and periodic physical inventory counts to maintain data integrity. - Prepare and review cost variance analyses, including material, labor, and overhead variances. Collaborate with teams to investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. - Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cost projections to support financial planning. - Generate and review cost reports, providing insights on cost drivers, trends, and performance against budget. - Support initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and cost reduction. - Ensure accurate cost data within the ERP system, support ERP enhancements, and maintain system updates relevant to cost accounting activities. - Ensure adherence to financial controls and company policies related to cost accounting and inventory management. Support internal and external audit processes. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and engineering, to align financial practices with business objectives. What You Need - 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment. - Experience in clean energy, industrial, or high-tech industries is preferred. - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus. - Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and proficiency in ERP systems. - Advanced Excel skills are required. - Ability to perform detailed financial analysis, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Experience in variance analysis is required. - High attention to accuracy and ability to work with large data sets while maintaining data integrity. - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance professionals. - Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement improvements in cost control and operational efficiency. - Experience with AX Dynamics preferred. - Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a Must Salary & Perks - Competitive Salary. - This is a full-time, long-term position. - The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with TLNT. - Work from home. - Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm (+/- 1 hour accepted) - PST or CST. - Additional perks.
