Job Description PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Designs, develops, tests, deploys, and maintains an Azure cloud based infrastructure supporting a prototype Electronic Security System (ESS) being developed by the project team Collects requirements from Government stakeholders and members of the project team and translates those business needs into a cloud architecture/infrastructure that can support all requirements Develops and integrates the cloud computing environment to support requirements for software application hosting, development and configuration of relational databases, network setup and configuration, role-based access control lists, interfaces, APIs, data and system state backups, and security protocols Following deployment, administers the Azure cloud computing platform to include updates, security, modifications, and expansion to meet emerging requirements Requirements MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: 5 to 8+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure’s suite of cloud computing services Experience may be concurrent and should include at least 8 of the following 12 skill sets: Understanding the basics of Azure services, regions, resource groups, and subscriptionsDesigning cloud and hybrid solutions for compute, network, storage, monitoring, and securityTranslating business needs into designs for Azure solutions that align with Azure Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework for AzureResource management using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates to create, update, and delete resourcesCreating and managing virtual machines in Azure to include configuring, networking, storage, and securityManaging Azure storage such as Blob, File, and QueueAzure SQL Database creation and administrationConfiguring and managing virtual network, load balancers, and VPN Gateways in AzureManaging user identities and access to Azure resources to include configuration of single sign-on and multi-factor authenticationUnderstanding of the security features available in Azure such as Azure Security Center and Azure Sentinel and how to use them to protect resourcesFamiliarity with Azure DevOpsCreating and managing serverless functions in Azure to build event-driven applicationsProgramming/coding/scripting using Python, C#, JavaScript, .NET, and/or PowerShell to include working with Software Development Kits (SDK) and Application Programming Interfaces (API) Applicants must possess at least one of the following certifications: CompTIA A+ CE Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – Security Certified Network Defender (CND) CompTIA Network+ CE Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) CompTIA Security+ CE Certified Information Systems Security Professional or Associate (CISSP / CISSA) DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: Applicants meeting minimum skills requirements who also possess one or more of the following certifications will be given preference: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator AssociateMicrosoft Certified: Azure Developer AssociateMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE CITIZENSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR A GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE POSITION OF TRUST LEVEL ABOUT US Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
