You’ll lead a small, high-impact team while remaining deeply involved in hands-on development. This is a true player-coach opportunity for someone passionate about delivering data solutions that power business insights. 🔍 What You’ll Do • Lead, mentor, and grow a small team of data engineers focused on building a modern enterprise data warehouse. • Design and implement scalable data architectures and pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Data Lake. • Actively contribute to the codebase—writing clean, performant, and maintainable data engineering solutions. • Collaborate with stakeholders and project managers to translate business needs into technical execution. • Champion data quality, governance, and engineering best practices across the team. • Optimize systems for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness in the Azure ecosystem. • Partner with analysts, scientists, and business teams to deliver meaningful, accessible data. • Create and maintain clear documentation, and foster a culture of continuous learning. ✅ What You Bring • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including 2+ years in a technical leadership role. • Proven hands-on expertise with Azure data services: Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake. • Strong skills in SQL, PySpark, Python, and/or Scala. • Deep understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and ETL frameworks. • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills. • Familiarity with Agile, CI/CD, Azure DevOps, and Git. 🌟 Bonus Points For • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, etc.).
