Marie Samayoa OBO Tactical Procurement | Procurement • North America | Guatemala Email: *** Job Description: DEVOPS Consultant Location: Pittsburgh, PA Hybrid -some weeks to be spent working from customer location in Pittsburgh, PA Roles & Responsibilities: • Lead DevOps modernization efforts for a leading Medical Device customer across their device and cloud platforms. • Conduct thorough assessments of current DevOps practices using industry-standard frameworks like CALMS, DORA etc. • Develop and execute strategies to modernize existing DevOps infrastructure and processes. • Implement best practices for CI/CD, monitoring, and automation across diverse environments. • Mentor team members and foster a culture of DevOps best practices. • Ensure security integration in all DevOps processes and tools. Skills And Experience: • 15+ years of Industry Experience • 8+ years of DevOps experience, with 5+ years in a senior or architectural role. • Proficiency in DevOps assessment frameworks and techniques, including: • CALMS Framework (Culture, Automation, Lean, Measurement, Sharing) • Three Ways of DevOps (Flow, Feedback, Continual Learning) • DevOps Maturity Model • DevOps Research and Assessment (DORA) metrics • Value Stream Mapping • Extensive experience with DevOps tools and platforms: • CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Artifactory • Configuration Management: Ansible, Puppet • Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP • Device Platforms: Linux, C • Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform • Monitoring: ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana • Strong understanding of cloud-native and on-premises infrastructure. • Solid understanding of networking and security best practices. • Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps culture implementation. • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
