Title: Cloud Data Engineer Location: Phoenix, USA Mission As part of the Data Service team, based in our headquarter in Phoenix, you will manage, operate, and design different data platform supporting our services and reporting solutions. In your position, you will be in touch with a wide specter of technologies both on-premises and in the cloud. You will interact with multiple teams involved in the different parts of the Kudelski group business, and you will get the opportunity to express innovative thinking and design. Responsibilities • Operate and maintain data solutions and databases to meet security standards. • Develop and manage database structures, data workflows, and analytical solutions for various projects across multiple domains. • Collaborate with business partners to clearly scope projects, understand business contexts, and design appropriate data solutions. • Lead and support data quality initiatives to ensure data is accurate, reliable, and actionable. • Design and optimize data models to achieve business objectives. • Ensure data resiliency and high availability across platforms. • Oversee the development and deployment of data solutions, ensuring best practices are followed. Requirements • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. • 7–10 years of experience as a Database Administrator, Data Engineer, or Data Architect, with a strong focus on Data Warehousing (DW) and Business Intelligence (BI) technologies. • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft data technologies (Azure, on-premises SQL Server, SSIS, Fabric, Power BI). • Working knowledge of AWS data stack (RDS, Aurora, Redshift, Athena) and/or Google Cloud Platform. • Experience with data integration tools (e.g., NiFi, Kafka, Spark, Denodo) and data analysis/visualization tools (Power BI). • Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks. • Solid understanding of data lifecycle management and maintenance processes. • Knowledge of data management, metadata, and data quality concepts; familiarity with data governance best practices is a plus. • Good understanding of data security and privacy requirements.
